Love June Wins Oregon Bride Magazine's Best Custom Designer 2009!

                                                                                     

I'm so excited!  I wish I could have made it to the Awards Reception at the Aveda Institute, it looked like so much fun!  

Congrats to all other vendors that won, including our own Event Cosmetics and our dear friend Evrim Icoz!

AND, guess who's gown made the cover!?

Oregon State Fashion Show: A Designer's Affair

Last night I had the pleasure of being invited to Oregon State University's annual spring fashion show, showcasing student collections of juniors and seniors in the Apparel Design program.  As a judge, it was so much fun to see the pieces in action!  We all had so much fun!

This year's show was a far cry from the original show, which has hosted by community partners and judged by department instructors.  Planned and executed entirely by the students themselves, it featured student works exclusively, complete with models, lighting, and a killer soundtrack!

The students even built their own runway and constructed the scrim that hung as the backdrop...pretty amazing!  To see it all come together, they should be extremely proud of themselves!

I can't wait to get the DVD to re-experience it all over again!

ABC Meeting May 2009

This last week the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC) held their monthly meeting at the Hotel DeLuxe.  My favorite!  I wasn't able to attend, but David Barss took some fabulous photos using a couple of my gowns with an old Hollywood theme that's rockin' my world!

Photo Shoot at the Hotel DeLuxe

I'm sooooooo excited to be participating in a photo shoot on Monday at the Hotel DeLuxe here in Portland.  It's one of my favorite hotels, and so fabulous!  Plus, Nicole Wickens is shooting, so basically I could die happy!  Here's a shot that Nicole took of one of my brides last summer...

Boutiques Unleashed

I just found out about this awesome event kicking off Portland Fashion Week called Boutiques Unleashed, hosted by local boutiques and DoveLewis to benefit the animal hospital!  Looks like so much fun, I hope I get to participate next year!
